Project Manager (CDD)
Energy Cities empowers cities and citizens to shape and transition to future-proof cities, with a community of local leaders from thousands of cities in 30 European countries. We are looking for a Project Manager to support the coordination and implementation of several EU-funded projects and initiatives covering topics such as citizen-led energy renovation, energy communities and climate adaptation. As Project Manager, you will be part of the core teams of these initiatives, contributing to their strategic coordination, analytical work, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with consortium secretariats, national and local partner structures, and EU funders to ensure activities are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with contractual obligations. Key responsibilities: support the strategic coordination of multi-partner projects as part of the core team/secretariat; lead or contribute to analytical tasks (regulatory and policy assessments, comparative studies, impact analyses) and translate findings into narrative reports and policy recommendations; organise and chair coordination meetings with national or local implementing partners; facilitate technical, financial and KPI reporting processes; support replication, capacity-building or mentoring programmes; and contribute to communication and dissemination activities. Required: Master's degree in political science, international relations, energy, environment, engineering or a related field; minimum 2 years of experience contributing to the coordination of multi-partner projects, ideally under EU-funded programmes (Horizon Europe, LIFE, INTERREG); experience conducting qualitative research; proficient English (C level), French an asset; good command of project management tools. Contract: close-ended (CDD), full-time, 1 year renewable, based in Besançon. Salary 36,349 - 37,677 EUR gross annually plus benefits.
