About Relief International
Relief International is an international non-profit organization that works with communities affected by conflict, climate change and disasters to save lives, build resilience and promote long-term health and well-being.

We operate in several countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, through programs in the areas of health and nutrition, WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), education and livelihoods, which contribute to strengthening the resilience of communities.

About the opportunity

Working closely with country offices, program teams, finance colleagues and external partners, this person will play a key role in mobilizing the resources needed to deliver high-impact humanitarian and development programs.

Your responsibilities
This position includes the following responsibilities:
• Identify funding opportunities, track donor trends and support strategic positioning with institutional donors, foundations and other non-traditional funding sources.
• Coordinate and lead the development of high-quality proposals, concept notes and funding requests that meet donor requirements, in collaboration with country teams, programs and support functions.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, NGOs and other stakeholders to support development and resource mobilization objectives.
• Provide technical support and strengthen the capacity of country teams in program design, proposal development and donor requirements.
• Supporting multiple country offices worldwide and undertaking travel that may represent up to 30% of working time, including occasional short-notice field missions.

About you
You will bring the following skills and experience:
• Proven success in securing funding from institutional and non-institutional donors, as well as experience in supporting complex proposal development processes, including within consortia.
• Solid knowledge of European funding mechanisms, grant management requirements, proposal budgeting and donor compliance regulations.
• Proven experience in managing the entire proposal development cycle, from identifying opportunities to submitting to donors.
• Excellent skills in proposal writing, communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Professional proficiency in French and English.
• Experience supporting humanitarian programs in fragile or conflict-affected contexts. Knowledge of United Nations and US government donor funding mechanisms is an asset.
