Director of the Physical Metrology Department

The International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) is the intergovernmental organization through which its Member States act together on measurement science and measurement standards. The BIPM is seeking a Director of the Physical Metrology Department, based at its headquarters in Sevres, a suburb of Paris, France.

The Director leads the Physical Metrology Department, providing scientific, technical and managerial leadership for the BIPM's programme in physical metrology, and represents the BIPM within the international metrology community. The role carries responsibility for departmental strategy, staff leadership and development, and delivery of the department's contribution to the BIPM work programme agreed by Member States.

This is a senior international appointment at an intergovernmental organization.
