Intern - Results Data and Analysis
Location: Paris, France
The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), established in 1956, is a multilateral development bank with a unique social mandate from its 43 member states. It finances investment in social sectors, including education, health and affordable housing, with a focus on the needs of vulnerable people.
The CEB is preparing its Strategic Framework 2028–2032 and is strengthening how it uses data and analytics to understand the results of the projects it finances. The Executive Office, which supports the Governor and the Bank's governance and leads work on strategy and business transformation, is looking for an intern to support results data and analysis work. The intern will report to the Chief of Staff and work closely with colleagues in the Executive Office and across the Bank.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide analysis and evidence for the Strategic Framework 2028–2032.
- Link portfolio, results and social and economic data, including through location reference tables, and produce heat maps and gap maps.
- Help develop and test AI-assisted tools for managing results data.
- Use AI tools to develop prototype data dashboards in line with the Bank's data rules.
Profile:
- Graduated within the past 24 months or currently in the final year of higher education, preferably at Master's level or equivalent, in economics, statistics, quantitative methods or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Python, R or SQL, with the ability to review and correct AI-generated code.
- Experience using AI tools for analysis or coding and checking their outputs for accuracy.
- Ability to explain data clearly to non-technical readers.
- Proactive, reliable and accurate, able to work well in a small team.
- Excellent command of English or French, both oral and written; working knowledge of the other is desirable.
- Citizen of one of the CEB's Member States.
Conditions: 6-month internship starting February 2027, with a flat-rate allowance of €1,800 per month. Interns do not acquire CEB staff status.
