Programme & Events Intern - Paris Office
Job Purpose
The purpose of the internship is two-fold: 1) provide support for event organization, administration, and social media communication of the Paris office and 2) assist in a research project on the challenges of decarbonization, climate action and competitiveness in France, in the context of the 2027 presidential election. The internship will combine desk research on party programs, candidates, intellectual debates on these topics, and, when possible, in-person interviews and participation to conferences. The intern will gain practical experience in a dynamic, multinational environment.
Main Responsibilities
Event and Advocacy Support: Assist with the organization and logistics of events and outreach activities for the Paris office, including tracking RSVPs, booking accommodations and transportation, and managing event-related communications.
Social Media and CRM Management: Contribute to managing the program’s social media presence, assist with maintaining the CRM system, and support the network engagement and communication efforts.
Research Project Support: Assist with research on French debates on climate, decarbonization, and competitiveness in the context of the 2027 presidential election, draft research papers and prepare research briefings.
Translation and Administrative Support: Provide general office support, including processing orders for supplies, handling logistics for staff events (e.g., retreats, parties), and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Paris coordination team, the DARE team as well as Communications and Advocacy departments and provide flexible support for a variety of tasks, ensuring smooth operations and assisting with urgent needs as they arise.
Person Specification
Current university student (Master’s) in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. A Convention de stage with your university is required.
Strong academic background in political science with a focus on international relations, EU foreign policy, or economics
Fluent in French and English
Skills and Abilities
Organizational Skills: Well-organized, with the ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail.
Proactivity and Flexibility: Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible, able to work both independently and as part of a multinational team.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, with ease in drafting invitations, engaging in social interactions, and presenting ideas. Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and able to adapt communication styles accordingly.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experienced in using tools like CRM systems, Canva and WordPress.
Reliability and Quality Focus: Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work with a positive attitude.
Teamwork and Management: Capable of managing tasks efficiently, prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment, with strong interpersonal and social skills that contribute to team success.
