Associate Programme Officer - P2
UNITAR's United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT) seeks an Associate Programme Officer (P2) for a fixed-term regular staff post in Geneva, Switzerland (1 year, renewable). Under the supervision of the Director, the incumbent will support planning, monitoring and programme management by helping prepare and monitor annual workplans, results and logical frameworks, performance indicators and monitoring tools; monitor implementation of programme activities; and compile, analyse and present programme information for evidence-based decision making. Responsibilities include supporting monitoring and evaluation frameworks; preparing donor reports, progress reports, briefing notes and analytical summaries; supporting partnerships and resource mobilization through donor research, concept notes, funding proposals and stakeholder coordination with governments, UN entities and the private sector; and supporting data analysis, digital innovation and knowledge management including dashboards, visualizations and responsible use of digital technologies such as AI. The role also supports communications, outreach and visibility (annual reports, newsletters, impact stories, events) and cross-functional coordination. Minimum requirements: an advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in public administration, international development, international relations, economics, public policy, social sciences, development studies, environmental studies, geography, information management or a related field; a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience at the international level in programme/project management, monitoring and evaluation, partnership development, donor reporting, resource mobilization, policy analysis or research. Good understanding of disaster management, humanitarian assistance, climate resilience or sustainable development is desirable. Fluency in English is required.
