Professional Experience:
With degree in Chemistry and 8 years of experience as Customs Inspector, I am currently working with Collectorate of Customs Airports, Islamabad (Pakistan Customs Service). I am deeply committed to public service and international cooperation. I view this opportunity not only as a platform for personal and professional growth, but also as a chance to contribute meaningfully to global dialogue and youth engagement.
In my professional capacity, I have been responsible for overseeing the lawful movement of goods across borders, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations. This role has honed my skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and intercultural communication, as I regularly interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity and the need for collaborative efforts in addressing global challenges. With an experience spanning up to 8 years, I have been part of numerous domestic and international training, including trainers skills course by City Police of London. I have also prestige of having hands on training and workshops on Container Control Programme with World Customs Organization and UNODC, of which two were held in Vienna, Austria and Baku, Azerbaijan. And also conducted successful training sessions on topics of Intellectual Property Rights, Audit Techniques and Human resource management. This experience has broadened my worldview and deepened my appreciation for collaboration and mutual respect among nations. I have been awarded by the department thrice with a meritorious certificate. Prior to joining Customs, I have worked as Scientific Officer for 2.5 years and worked on projects like determination of pesticide residues in Fruits, Vegetables and honey. I have four publications which are directly related to the environmental impacts of using Chemicals on crops.
